How can productive activities help the world to develop and progress? How can the interaction between industry and development create practical and innovative solutions for a sustainable future?
UNIDO’s new magazine, Making It: Industry for Development, aims to throw some light on these and other matters; to stimulate reflection and debate on both the challenges and the solutions; to be critical but also constructive. It is not a publication that claims to have all the answers, but it is a forum for enquiry into a range of topics across the intersection of industry and development. The magazine website encourages all stakeholders to share their knowledge and join the debate.
The first issue of the publication focuses on the theme of “green growth”, and features contributors from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds, including articles on the possibility of prosperity without growth, on a nature-inspired alternative business model, and on the development of industrial ecosystems.
