The issue with energy, water and food

The water, energy and food nexus connects three sectors that are closely related and interlinked- water security, energy security and food security. The nexus also takes into account that what is positive for one of these sectors might have a negative influence for another. At the end of the day it is a bargain, a trade-off that has to be wisely considered and adapted to circumstance.

But modern requirements for energy services, increased population and dietary changes make the water, energy and food nexus all the more urgent.
